Wimmera CMA is involved with farm planning initiatives across the region including the 'Farming Together' no-till mentoring program, also known as FarmPlan21.

Farming together 

Wimmera CMA and the Victorian No Till Farmer's Association are running the highly-successful 'Farming Together' FarmPlan21 mentoring program. This free program is a great initiative that has attracted a lot of interest from farmers.

“Farmers are very hands-on and can talk about the practical things, not just the theory. There's so much at stake including people's livelihoods and the environment. So you want to gather as much practical information as possible. It's all about talking openly about what has and hasn't worked. We've made a lot of mistakes and certainly had some practices that haven't worked the way we want them to. So it'll be good if, through this mentoring program, we could help others avoid making those same mistakes.” FarmPlan21 participant Robert Cowan, Sheep Hills
